Copper 116 is an ETP copper with a controlled silver addition (minimum 25 Troy oz/ton, equivalent to 0.085% Ag). The silver raises the softening temperature and improves creep resistance without measurably affecting electrical conductivity. This makes Copper 116 the ideal busbar material for applications operating at elevated temperatures (up to 200°C) where standard ETP copper would lose its temper and mechanical strength.
